Katie Hoffman is a Los Angeles native with more than a decade of experience in project management and organizational development. Prior to co-founding RC, Katie helped start several environmental and social impact organizations and campaigns in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Berkeley, California.  Katie helped build the statewide climate Divest-Invest effort in California, supporting the development of a comprehensive ESG and sustainable investment policy at University of California, as well as SB185, a bill passed by the state legislature in 2015 mandating CalPERS and CalSTRS pension funds to unwind fossil fuel holdings. Katie was awarded a fellowship to work on international Corporate Social Responsibility cases in Quito, Ecuador, and conducted extensive research on cases involving the Alien Tort Statue and other human rights treating, including cases that reached SCOTUS. Katie helped found and institutionalize the UC Berkeley Student Environmental Resource Center, and worked as a program manager responsible for implementing co-curricular programs under the Sustainability Initiative at UC Irvine.
